BOM Materials Incorrect - Default material removal

Working on a project assembly and noticed BOM material output seems to be locked to default rather than the assigned material. Have tried numerous things / attempts to change the behavior but can't find a solution.

I have assigned proper material to the component ( and parts ) at all levels. They show properly in the properties check at every level, and part, but the BOM still reads PAEK ( my default material ).

Each part is supposed to be stainless steel as per screenshots.

Autodesk need to implement a way to remove the default material or allow parts to be made without it. Have read that it is a known issue ( multiple complaints ). Basically makes the

software unusable, for myself, for any large assemblies.

Any insight would be appreciated.

Cheers,

Steve

Thanks for posting this.  I can explain.

The BOM displays the material of the component.

Materials have been applied to bodies, because dragging materials onto bodies in the canvas applies the materials to the bodies.

The browser is intended to be an explicit selection machine. It's the best way to select and work with properties of your designs, and other details not accessible from the 3D command canvas.

In order to change the component material properties, drag the material swatch onto the component in the browser.

The result will be a bill of materials that displays the component properties as you expect.
