Body refusing to split... but is split

Good afternoon.

I have a real humdinger, the first time I've actually had to post to the forums to find a solution in some four years of Fusion!

I am modifying a CNC mini mill design for a project and am attempting to split some parts down to be 3d printed (Before anyone jumps in and says 3d printed parts aren't strong enough etc... I know full well their limitations, but it is a project many people have done with good results and the first things I will be making are tougher components).

The part I am trying to break down looks to be cleanly split, however in the browser it is still registered as one body.

I have tried using the splitting tool, but it doesn't actually separate them.
I can move each half around independently from the other.
I tried copying the component and deleting half, but the copy just did exactly the same action

I have used derive to move the bodies wanted to a new file and split the link to the originals.

So chaps, any ideas on how to get the browser to recognise the bodies as separate.

The files I am trying to use are here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3315959?fbclid=IwAR2rQqH78Rvq7ILRKNzil8x-AwwzGBMnOK3gg2tEe2YTNt8Vx... You have to import from the f3z file to get non-STL editable objects.

The project I am attempting is here: https://www.instructables.com/id/DIY-3D-Printed-Dremel-CNC/?fbclid=IwAR083mRz6Zl8v4bgf7JxmOe756ALZpm... for those interested.

Hi,

1. Please embed images in the text in future. You can do this by clicking on the camera symbol in the editing window.

This saves readers from having to switch back and forth between text and images to understand  the content.

2. Unfortunately, you do not mention in this post any components with which anything does not work.

Our abilities do not allow us to read your thoughts and even the crystal ball is overstrained.

3. F3Z files require more effort to make them available in the system. Sometimes you have to guess in which assembly the "problem case" is located.

So: Just put f3d file directly into the attachment of the next post.

Splitting Tool does not separate them - correct, if you mean there is a new body count, and parts don’t move mysteriously.

Move Tool works on new / old part, is expected behaviour.

Components - Copy Paste and Copy Paste New have different results.

Not sure of the problem so far.
