Body appearance not as default

Hi, I have been using Fusion 360 for some time now, as a "hobby" and have become used to the default colour being "steel", a grey colour, which is the default in preferences. Today, new objects are a "yellowish" colour, except any that have been given an appearance. Default is still set to "steel". I can not get used to it, but more to the point, I would like to know what has been changed. Any advice assistance greatly appreciated.

Take a look at your Material entry in your Fusion Preferences.  Check to see if the setting for the appearance look like this.  These settings are what came as default when I installed Fusion.

Hi, Thank you for taking the time. Just tried that and I do not get any indication as to if "display component colours" is on or off, as indicated in your screen shot.

If I click it, all my bodies are the yellowish colour I don't like, if I click it again it reverts back to the bodies showing the appearance I have given them, and new bodies being the yellow. Also, if I then create a another new body I do not get a different colour, which is my understanding as to what that command does.

I have started getting warnings that my graphics card is not functioning correctly, but this has never been an issue before.

Hi,

different components > different colours

the component colors function displays all bodies inside a component in the same color.
