Board not rendering correctly.

Hello, I have read the other post about this matter... and have found that I am having a slightly different issue that the others who have/had issues with Fusion rendering boards.

I have about 20 projects or so. Of the 20, 19 appear as they should after I push them to Fusion. However 1 does not. The difference between the boards I have that do render correctly and the one that does not render is the length of the PCB. The one that does not render properly is 19.6" long. When it renders, parts are shifted out of place, and the "green area" is cut shorter than it should be. So as a test, I started making it smaller and smaller in 1/2" increments. As I did so, the problem with shifted parts got better and better and the green area was less and less "cut off".

An interesting side note... parts in the center are not "shifted". It appears to me the parts may be in the right place, but the boards "top layer" is not being rendered correctly. A picture is worth a thousand words, so please see attached image below.

Thank you in advance for your help!

Hi @Anonymous,

thanks for posting! Just for clarification - are you referring to an actual rendering within the Render workspace in Fusion 360 or to the display of the design in the model environment (as presented in your screenshot)?

Would you be able to share links to the design with me:

  • one of a board that is displayed correctly
  • one of a board that is shifted?

If you don't want to post the link here, please send me a private message.

Thanks in advance!

Hi @Anonymous,

apologies for the late reply. I tested your file and I can see that the canvas on the PCB plate does not cover the entire board. Could you describe a workflow you used to create the PCB plate and push it to Fusion 360 in a few words?

Thanks in advance!

No problem,

Pretty straight forward.

1. Designed PCB in Eagle.
2. Pushed design to Fusion.

a. I did this 2 separate times from scratch to make sure there wasn't
something wrong with the first design.
b. I did not edit them after the push.

I hope this helps,

Hello Dave!

Thank you to post the issue! @davejp1121

May I ask the eagle version you are using?  It is supposed to be working correctly in 9.4.1.

Thanks

Cathy
