Hey community.  I am an absolute beginner. I want to draw a bridge with arches for a model railway layout. when evertything is drawn I want to bend the bridge in a certain radius in order to get the arches bended and shrinked (the inner radius) in a correct way. Does anyone have an idea how to manage this? thx adn br

Hello CadWhisperer. Thanks for the reply. I have watched a lot of tutorials and they are really great. but I can't find what I'm looking for. What I want to achieve is something like the attached file. I am thinking about to draw it straight and then to bend it. But I don't Have any idea how to bend to respect a predefined radius. BR

You should model your bridge directly to the shape and curve you desire, that would be the efficient method.  You seem to have your heart set on creating the bridge and then bending it to the radius you desire.  To that end, I created a sample model to show that is possible.  Of course I just created some dimensions to demonstrate.  Model is attached.

Dear Randolph. Thank you for helping me to bend a bridge. Your .f3d is very usefull. I can understand everything, right down to the last steps. I left a few comments in the .f3d file. Could you perhaps help me with that? I would be very, very grateful to you

I am the same user as @jhackney1950, it is my other handle.  In the above statement you say you left a few comments in the .f3d file.  I do not know what you mean by this, there is no f3d file attached from you.  Please let me know what part of bending my bridge you need help with by responding to this post, to me directly.

Thank you for your reply. For me this is all a bit tricky.
U use sketch 4 to draw the arch with the small extension. The next step is to unfold this bow and I don't know how to achieve this. And for the last three steps, I don't know how to do it either.
I really appreciate your help. And when I finally print out these bridges, I'll name one after you.

I used the same model that I sent to you originally to create the video since you are familiar with it.

@jhackney1972 Something I did not see in the video, or in the model you attached is a correct K-Factor.

If you are looking for a specific inside or outside radius of the bent object, you need to make sure the K-Factor in the sheet metal rule is either set to 0 or 1.
