Autodesk PrintStudio v1.6.5 Win64

How to get Autodesk PrintStudio v1.6.5 Win64 to install ? I have tried numerous times to install and all it does is give me error codes.

I know its not my computer, I have a i7,  3.9 processor, 6 gig video, 32 Gig gddr5 memory, with unlimited hard drive space. so what's going on ?

What happens when you attempt to install? Is there an error message? Could anti-virus software be interfering with the install? What have you tried?

Here is the Error code it gives me every time, and a copy of the log file after attempted installation

Looks like they found a solution over there:

The problem with the installation was with nssm.exe and nssm64.exe in the file path here:
C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Autodesk Print Studio\PM\spark-print-mgr\bin\win

When I looked it up it led to me to this site: https://nssm.cc/download

As you can see, the site states that the windows 10 creative update caused issues.

If you download the pre-release build (https://nssm.cc/ci/nssm-2.24-101-g897c7ad.zip), you will see 2 folders inside the zip file, win32 and win64.

You need both nssm.exe from both folders. However, you need to rename the win64 to nssm64.exe

Extract these files to your desktop, you will need them.

Steps:

1. Download the zip file: https://nssm.cc/ci/nssm-2.24-101-g897c7ad.zip

2. Extract nssm.exe from the folder win64 and rename it nssm64.exe

3. Extract nssm.exe from the folder win32 and put it with the file from step 2

4. Start the Print Studio Installation

5. When error 1920 shows up, open services.msc (you can do this by pressing windows + r and typing in services.msc)

6. In the services window, you will be looking for Print Manager

7. Stop print manager

8. Replace nssm.exe and nssm64.exe in "C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Autodesk Print Studio\PM\spark-print-mgr\bin\win" (no quotes) with the two files from the downloaded zip file (steps 2 and 3)

9. Restart Print Manager in the services window

10. Press retry (a command windows will pop up, it'll close itself when the installation is done)

That should work.

This seems to have worked, but AutoDESK needs to fix this. Should not have to apply a bandaid to somrthing to get it to work.

@Anonymous Thanks for the update! Glad to hear it worked. Development originally provided the fix, so I believe we are working towards a solutions.

You may want to check out NetFabb, Remake, or meshmixer as some other options for slicing software.

Autodesk should fix this. I don't understand why they can't fix it. If they found the problem then it should be a simple fix.. I can't seem to get this to work in windows 10. I pasted the NSSM to the directory it told me too and renamed them. Yet still I can't seem to install Print Studio. I never had problems with Autodesk software before until now.

okay never mind it worked. I should of just typed services.msc. When I pressed the windows+R it took me to something else. Even though it showed the printer services file.

I've done all the steps of using nssm64.exe and merging nssm.exe (32).  How do I start the install.  All I get is a long txt file.

Newbie:  Just started Fusion360 4 days ago but learning.

I'm still stuck at item 3.  Here's my new win64 file = nssm64.exe, nssm.exe

Where & how do I Start the Print Studio Installation?

I think I'm almost there.  I have C:\Autodesk\Printstudio_win_64bit\nssm64.exe,nssm.exe

I'm not sure about the merging.

I'm using the command line to install.

I change the cmd to c:\autodesk\printstudio_win_64bit>

I don't know how to finish the command:  c:\autodesk\printstudio_win_64bit>nssm64>install><printstudio>

Syntax error

I tried several others, no luck

I have to know what each step means.  Most of the time when I download a module, unzip,setup,install....that's it.

PrintStudio is quite a bit different of which I not experience with.

Also to bad the dial log box in Fusion after selecting 3D will not select.

OK by using my printstudio location and cmd prompt:  C:\Autodesk\Pintstudio_Win_64bit>nssm install [<nssm64.exe>]

I now have it in the computer services running automatic.

How do I get into autodesk fusion 360?

When I select Make 3d print, print studio is not there.
