Auto updating Component relationship

Hi there! Thanks for taking the time.

I am using a "PCB-Stance" component, which sits on an offset plane driven by a user parameter. Now I would like to place a "PCB" component at a certain position on the PCB-Stance. I was thinking about moving the PCB by hand into the correct position and using an "As built" joint or Rigid group. However, I would like to create a relationship, which will update when I change the user parameter, which defines the offset for the PCB-Stance from the ground. Ideally:

- I would update the pcb_stance_offset parameter

- The PCB-Stance component moves up or down

- The PCB component also gets moved and its position relative to the PCB-Stance does not change.

Is this possible? Thanks!

Joint the PCB to the stance face that moves.

Might help…

This is the problem.  As Built joints, because they contain no geometry references, are not associative to geometry changes.  This is the huge downside to As Built joints (or Rigid Groups).  They are very convenient to create, but they lack the desired associativity.  If you want updates with parametric changes, use a "regular" Rigid Joint.

Thanks! I did that and it worked perfectly.
