Angled plane sketch not connecting to source line

I’ve been working through these tutorials and I have come up on a snag. I created an angled plane and when I create a sketch on that plane, it will not connect to the sourced line for the angled plane. Here is the video of the tutorial and the sketch on the angle starts about 6:00. https://youtu.be/_CnmXBprfo8

Others have posted in the comments of the video that they are experiencing the same problem, but no one has offered a solution.

thanks

That will be because your Preferences are not the same as his Preferences.

He has Auto Project on Reference, switched on, you may not have that yet.

At 7.15 he shows whats going on a lot better, but says nothing about this "Projecting"

Look closely - both times he clicks on the body, to make things line up, Fusion puts that / those purple lines into the sketch, for him.

You can not snap to anything that is not in the current sketch, Projecting brings those articles into the current sketch.

Might help....

One other question, other than changing the preferences how does one project the sketch to connect with that line?

He makes a Plane on Angle,

Then Create Sketch,

Line command, he clicks on the front edge of the body, for his first point, Fusion then adds the purple line to the sketch, connects the first point to it, and he adds more articles.

In the later section, he clicks on another body edge for the co linear constraint, and that is again Fusion putting the long tall purple line into the current sketch.
