All Shapes Snap to Origin

Good afternoon, everyone!

I am having issues with my students where they go to draw a shape on their 2D drawing and it automatically snaps to the origin, no matter where they attempt to place the shape. There is no snapping at any other point. If they click anywhere on the drawing, it creates the shape where they click, but the corner of the shape will always be at the origin. I have attempted to remove any constraints, restart the software, and more. I can't seem to find a fix for that issue.

It seems to be most present when opening a drawing to start working on it again.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi,

Are you talking about sketching in design mode (1) or do you mean adding sketches in a derived drawing.
1. When you start a sketch in design mode, it is centered on the origin, regardless of where the reference surface is located.

You can switch off the "Auto Look at sketch plane" option in the preferences. However, this means that the view remains in its previous state and is not dragged onto a plane.
