Admin version wont install via System account

Hi

I'm trying to install the new version in a Lab using Fusion Admin Install.exe but since the change from Fusion 360 to Fusion it no longer works. It gets to 99% then [WinError -2147024894] The system cannot find the file specified. When installing this way it uses the System account to install it and that is the issue yet the old Fusion 360 Admin Install.exe works fine that way.

Ive tested using just a normal admin account and that does work fine but I can't use that to deploy it via Mecm (Software Center).

Logs attached one current version with admin that works, one with system account that doesn't and log from previous version that worked with system account

This is the same on any of the machines I try. Ive also taken Mecm/Software Center out of the equation and installed it via system using psexec -i -s cmd.exe then just running the exe file and get same error

Thanks

I can confirm we are experiencing the same issue and have been trying to deploy this through Microsoft Intune for our standard users using the system account.

The new update is broken, However I doubt Autodesk will confirm this for us. We will most likely have to wait until they release the next update.

From what I can tell, there should be a Fusion360.exe file in the following folder location but it is missing and then the desktop shortcut can't be created to point to that.

We have the same issue deploying under System account. It seems tahat some of the files are not extracted by the Fusion Admin Install.exe to C:\Windows\Temp\7zxxxx. and Stremer.exe is not finding them so the install fails.Screenshot 2024-05-06 145811.pngScreenshot 2024-05-06 145558.png

I can confirm this also.. I get the error

itsdesktop_0-1715575843559.png

there are 9 files not getting installed from what I can see and im guessing its some script that finishes the install but uses the windows profile incorrectly, but as mentioned above if installed by any other elevated account it works fine..  Its ok ive only got a couple of thou machines to deploy it to.. Please fix this AUTODESK.. cheers Craig

Hi

Seems like Autodesk is aware of the problem. Should be fixed soon hopefully.

Its fixed download it from here obviously if you cant find a link..  https://dl.appstreaming.autodesk.com/production/installers/Fusion%20Admin%20Install.exe.. And just the normal install command FusionAdminInstall.exe" --globalinstall --quiet does the trick... Thanks Autodesk for fixing the issue cheers craig 🙂

Is it just me or is this still not working? I still get the same error message.

Has there been any update on this? I can't get it to work as globalinstall.
