I built a project with offset planes and the loft feature. I want to add to the face of the project but am unable to select sections of the project to use the tangent plane. I am a newborn to the program, and I am learning as I go. I appreciate any help

You can use an Offset Construction Plane from the Origin plane for this.  Model attached.

That works for the bottom section but not for the middle and top section for buttons and facial features. I used offset planes and the loft feature to build this instead of the revolve feature. Obviously I am new at this and probably missing something to accomplish this project, (It is my first one). Is there a tutorial or classes that I can get involved in to learn more about the program?
Thank you,
Mike
