@Phil.E please check this out. THe decal in the derived component is still present in the browser, but it looks scrambled in the 3D viewport.

Looks like a bug to me.

Perform a compute all, the decal resolves itself.

This seems like the decal/model is not being computed in graphics properly. Filed FUS-127908

The Compute All command did nothing on my PC. (Fusion 360 version is 2.0.15995 x86_64)
Anyway I am looking forward to seeing it corrected. Thank you.

Compute All did not do anything on my MacBook Pro either.

Accepted solution

I know it is a silly process but if I Derive a Component, with a Decal, into an assembly, the Decal is messed up.  If I Break Link on the Derived component and then immediately Undo the Break Link the Compute All function restores the Decal in the Derived component.  Something about the toggle of Break Link and Undo to put it back into a Derived Component makes the Compute All work.

Working on Windows 10.

Play the timeline and then compute all. I left out the play-action. Something about the decal is just not getting computed correctly by the derive workflow itself.

I have the same issue. Break link magically solves it, but in my case, if I undo it, it gets broken again.
