We usually work with smaller project groups in large tech companies where the project groups themselves are not very well versed in 3D. It is usually very cumbersome to even get their designs to begin with. Is there a simple way to let an outsider upload files to your fusion 360 cloud projects? Is there any way to just allow a guest email to log in and upload?
The collaborative part of fusion 360 is flawless and file management has become a non issue for us lately. Is there any way to let our clients in to the system to further help us with this? Or do they need fusion 360 themselves to be invited into tthe projects so that they can upload?

Hi @Anonymous,

Are you using a Fusion Team hub, or just the default personal hub that comes with Fusion 360 to save your data? Either can work - but a Fusion Team hub allows the use of 3rd party project contributors in an admin managed way (i.e. you can manage what they see and their access level).

To answer your question - no, a user does not need Fusion 360 to upload/download files to your hub. What they need to do is:

  1. Create an Autodesk Account
  2. Once created, you invite their email to collaborate
  3. The user then visits myhub.autodesk360.com (or the Team Hub URL)
  4. From here they can navigate to your folders/projects and upload/download data.

Thanks,

Thank you so much. This is great.
We have been using the default hub that is included, and that sounds like a decent solution.

Will definitely read up on fusion teams hub though, that sounds amazing.
If we can create and moderate accounts and just simplify and streamline this process it would save us so much grief. Really remove friction from collaborative work.
Great work and good answers man. Have good day 🙂
