3D printing with fusion 360

I am trying to use fusion 360 with a 3D printer. The version that I have downloaded seems to be for C&C machines. The toolbar is different than the toolbars I see in all the tutorials and I can't find anything in the manufacture menu that refers to 3D printers. Is there an option I need to select or do I need to download a different version?

The way I print from Fusion is to right click on the body that I want to print and select save as STL and save it to my computer. Then I open the STL in my slicer program and then send to the printer.

Thanks for posting. It depends on the brand and type of 3d printer you're using. As @davebYYPCU  mentioned, you can go to the Manufacture workspace and there you'll find a Additive option. But, if your printer is less popular or new brand, you might not find the post for your machine in here (also in the post library).

In this case you should use other Slicer platform provided with your printer to generate gcode for your design. (design will be done in fusion)

For that case, when you finish your design, Go to Tools> Make> 3d print.

Here you'll be generating an Stl file depending on which mesh refinement you'll need.

After you generate Stl file, you can import it to the slicer software and generate code.
