2D Files for Laser CNC work - how to group sketch elements and repeat them?

Hello,

I am relatively new to Fusion 360 and loving it for my 3D work but I have to supply my acrylic fabricator with DWG or other 2D files for him to define laser cuts from (he certainly can't take a 3D file). I don't believe that Fusion will hide the construction lines on DWG or DXL files so I have to make all my sketches without them. Fine. I'll live with that.

However, my sketch has MANY repeating groups of lines that need repeating (see attachment for example of one of them). How to group these sketch elements so I can repeat them? If there isn't a repeat function, is there a way to group sketch elements so they can be easily copy and pasted?

Thank you.

Two things - Make your model, you can extract clean dxf sketches by selecting the model planar faces as required.

Use the DXFer Addin from Github, I have found one layer per part works for me, and one file containing all the selections.  I then move the sketched parts in Autocad for my nesting.

As for the sketching like that I use Copy > Paste /  Move > Point to Point.

Both of these workflows work for me.

Thank you very much. You used some terms I am unfamiliar with but will
study them to make sense of it for myself.

Cheers!

Planar faces, flat faces, does not work for curved parts, not least because they would not be true length.

Github - Internet repository for programs and utilities, for downloading.
