Looking for post for DMG Mori NLX2500 Mill/Turn

Hello all,

We are working on a generic post processor for a DMG Mori NLX Mill/Turn with a CELOS control.  We would be happy to get some feedback from you before we put it into production.

Feel free to download and test these post processor and provide any feedback you might have.

Hello, thanks for the postprocessor, It works pretty well but we found a problem with c axis indexing:

When we use live tooling after the c axis index pass to the 360 degree it goes back to 0 rather than continue 361,362,363.. etc.

After 359,99 it passes 1 full rotation back and this makes trouble. Could you fix that ?

Other than that we have no issue.

 Thanks

Hello, I'm not sure if there is a better place to post feedback for the NLX post?  Let me know if I have a setting wrong too that could be causing the issue.  We are finding that when doing milling and the part is programmed with operations that have x/y moves followed by and operation with c moves the y axis isn't going home in between.  The posted code works when we hand code in the Y0.'s.  Let me know if this makes since or if some example code is needed.

Thanks!

Hello @dfmtech.tad ,

This is a good place to report feedback for the NLX post.  The issue that you are describing should have been resolved in the 27-AUG-2018 release of the NLX post.  Please download the latest version of the post and see if you are still not getting the Y-axis to move to 0 between operations.

Hi Bob,

I just made sure we were running the newest version by downloading from the link about and re-posting.  We still don't get the y to zero.  I could share the file with you if you'd like?

Thanks,

Tad
