ITAR Compliance

ITAR Compliance

With the ever growing demands of our customer base, ITAR compliance has become a topic we need to address. We have worked well with fusion up to this point so im sure this question is on your radar as well. Does Fusion have any ETA on if or when you will be considering becoming ITAR compliant? To start doing work with OEM's and Primes, ITAR compliance is mandatory. Any updates on this matter would be greatly appreciated as we will be pursuing this customer base moving into the new year.

Hello @adolfoN5S3B

We are aware that the ITAR requirement is relevant for some of our current and potential clients but there are no plans for addressing this in the short term. As the number of votes increases for this idea, the more it will become a priority for us.

David,

Thank you for the update. I do appreciate it. As a supplier attempting to pursue the primes, CMMC and ITAR compliance with all of our software is required. This is also new territory for us so were making adjustments and learning as we grow.

This is a huge understatement... "some, potential customers" is a wild statement when there are tons of threads asking for this as well as hundreds of people in a discord group all asking for the same thing. Nobody wants to keep using inventor, period. We all want to switch to fusion.

Not providing a ITAR compliant version of fusion is a huge missed opportunity as all of us inventor users will be forced to eventually move to other software that is actually getting real improvements and not just minor bug fixes....

Hello @user87246 , thank you for your message. This Ideas Board is specific to Fusion Operations, a manufacturing execution system, and not Fusion. Therefore, my previous statement was specific to Fusion Operations customers.

You can find posts related to Fusion in here and here, for example.
