Z axis cutting uneven

My models look good in simulation but my actual CNC carve is coming out with uneven parallel passes. My Step Over is fine on a .125in bit I'm only stepping over .35 mm and only cutting 2mm deep.  My passes are smooth but there does seem to be a bit of play in my Z axis assembly,  I'm using a stock X carve Z axis.  I can't seem to eliminate the slack in the assembly.  Anyone else run across this problem?

Thanks,

Wayne Dean

This sounds more like a mechanincal issue than a Fusion toolpath issue. Have you double checked to make sure all your belts and set screws are tightened properly?

Hi Seth, Yes I've checked everything. My cuts are nice and clean then a
few hours into yhe Finish Pass it starts to cut uneven paths. I think the
bits might be it. I'm trying a model that has cut fine in the past.
Thanks for your help.

Hi Seth,

As a follow up, I think my problem was a bit issue.  I used a new bit that seems to be my problem.  I used my usual choices and settings on an old model and it cut fine.  I think it was my bit the whole time.  Thanks again.

Hi Folks, solved the problem.  It was my bit.  I was using a new bit that I had purchased for Finish work but apparently my machine doesn't like it.  Ran the same settings but used a bit that I know cuts well.  A nice smooth finish.  Thanks for all your feed back.
