Working with the new setup sheets

After some time on another post i had, i realized i have to switch to using the nc programs to post and create setup sheets.

i really like how they designed this functionality but i feel like im either missing the point, or they did when creating this feature.

is there a way when creating setup sheets (the html version) to display what post or machine it is using? also how would a setup guy know where my WCS is on a particular program?

on my custom template i post to excel with, i have to fill this information in, no problem its excel. it likes me changing stuff and adding content.

but with the setup sheet built in i dont have the flexibility to add content, and besides that it is all there to add, why cant fusion just add these last few items to the built in setup sheets?

i would love to implement the built in sheets, and use computers at the machines to access files directly, as they could add comments to the sheets online for me to see and correct any issues. but i cant go away from the excel sheets until i figure out how to add the mentioned functionality.

is what im talking about possible with the default sheets, or am i correct in assuming there isnt an option yet.

Yes yes yes! How is a cnc operator supposed to know where the WCS is with the new setup sheet? This is crucial! The setup sheet you get when selecting an individual setup shows you a nice image of the part inside the stock, with the WCS visible, plus information about where the WCS is located in relation to the part and stock (image 1) The setup sheet from the NC Program does not show this information as clearly - the coordinates are still provided, but no image to confirm, and no way to know which way X, Y, and Z are going! (Images 2 and 3)

not sure if its a bug or not but now also it doesnt show the WCS position on the setupsheet images. which again is crucial for helping the setup guys to do their job!

Exactly! the new setup sheet still provides coordinates, but no way to verify the direction of the WCS axes and no helpful image showing stock and wcs location and orientation.

Is it just me or do the setup sheets generated from the NC Programs still not provide the WCS Coordinate in the image?.

It's very frustrating. I'm having to draw the WCS on each setup sheet for the operator.

It does look like that has been overlooked or forgotten by Autodesk as this query dates back to January.  I know the original setup sheets do display the WCS but the post processor isn't as friendly with multiple setups.

i dont even do that. i customized my setup sheet template to include a few extra pieces of info, and some boxes i fill in. makes it a very uncommon thing to question where the WCS might be. not bulletproof but it works.
