Why convert mesh is compute failed

My stl file from 3d scan is can't convert mesh  and as shown in the picture. My object file and going to add thickness and  bring to finite element. Can anyone give some advice in this section?

Hi @umazab,

 

converting a mesh body to a solid is a computationally very hard. The different options are designed to work for different kinds of meshes: https://help-staging.autodesk.com/view/fusion360/ENU/?guid=MESH-CONVERT-TO-SOLID

 

However, none of these methods will work well for scan data.

 

For scan data, try to follow the workflow "create mesh section sketch" to manually build up a solid body.

This is not as automatic as the Convert-command but gives you full control over the body you model.
