Why are the CAM cutting tools so screwed up?

I come back to Fusion after a few months off and the tool selection part of the software is all screwed up. It used to be orginized by size and now, for example, there isn't even a 1/32" falt endmill available. This renders the whole program unusable for me since I only use miniture endmills for my contour routing.

Is this an attempt to defeature the product?

Anyway, I cannot make anything in my shop now due to certain cutters missing form the library and no obvious way to create a cutter that meets my needs. This is one of my fears with having a web/cloud based software system......that is the program is one revision away from being unusable. I depended on the CAM package and now I cannot even get it to function.

Guess I will have to go back to CAMBAM and forget using fusion.

Why can't you create the tool? Have you just been using the default library and not defined your own tools?

If you click the icon with the cutter type you get a dialog that allows you to add\change cutters displayed. Same goes for size etc.

You need to select a library or document before the options for adding tools activate.

Thanks fo rthe suggestion but I tried to create one but the menu picks are really confusing and when I am done and select OK it still leaves it without the correct tool. See attached screenshot. It looks like it wont let me create a tool.

Did you see my edit to the post above, you need to expand the libraries in the browser then select a library\document then the options to add tools will activate. It makes sense when you think about it, the system needs to know which library to add the new tool to.

Thanks, I managed to create the cutter but what a convoluted mess of a way to do it. the menu picks and prompts are very un-intuitive.

My theory is if one has to go to support or the forums all the time for ordinary setup work then the software is far from ready for prime time. One revision away from being the greatest tool or one away from broken.
