weird surface pattern in parallel finishing simulation

i am preparing to cut a piece and the simulation gives me the impression that the toolpath is not even, here is how the simulation looks:

the toolpath looks alright:

but no way to know if there is a smoothness problem until cutting the material. Is this a known issue ? I find it highly confusing. There is a similar issue when using the toolpath smoothing options, there the preview of the toolpath lines seems not related to the machining results.

 

Are these known issues ?

Judging by the radius at the end of the part this could just be graphics. Please try changing to Fast (3-axis only). Then Extreme and see if the looks better.
