Unnecessary linking moves in Spiral toolpath

When trying to cut a spiral toolpath, the cutting tool picks up and makes another pass from a different direction several times at the beginning of the cut. It is somewhat odd geometry, it is a lens coped to the face of a pipe with a cylindrical boss extruded through the center of the cope. Any suggestions to remove the extra linking moves? Thanks!

Like many things in life, there's more than one way to reach this goal. One quick thing I tried, (and which worked straight away) is turning on "Touch/Avoid" and selecting the inner diameter:

Thanks Seth! I had tried that, though it looked like it skipped the inner-most path. After trying your solution and looking more closely at the simulation, it does generate correctly.
