Undocumented 'Component sources' dialog in manufacture workspace (Without Advanced Manufacturing License)

Can anyone shed some light on this 'Component Sources' box.

It randomly appears in the manufacturing workspace when adding a new manufacturing model.

The only documentation I can find on it seems to be linked to the advanced manufacturing plugin, and even then documentation is scarce - NOTE I do not have this advanced manufacturing license so don't think I should ever see this dialogue box.

I have noticed on the designs that this turns up, I also have the issue where switching to the manufacturing workspace takes a long time while it rebuilds all models, all configurations and all toolpaths regardless if any changes were made to the design.  It further breaks many toolpath geometry selections, most arrangements error out saying geometry is missing in most man models and some setups also randomly change the man model that they are linked to and man models change the configuration they are linked to.   It clusters days of work on top of taking 5+ minutes to do it, so I'd really like to get to the bottom of what's making this screen appear.

Cheers if anyone has a similar experience or solution!

I suspect that these source options are linked to configurations, though if so why not show the configuration name?

Sorry I missed that you don't have the Extension, yes you probably shouldn't be seeing that, it doesn't seem to relate to non extension workflows

Back when I first lodged a support ticket with Fusion, 6 months ago, to tell them about the component sources coming up in non-advanced licensed workflows, and the trouble it was causing,  they confirmed that it should not, and also they confirmed that at the time the words "Component Sources" almost didn't appear anywhere in the documentation - Ill admit I didn't do much searching again at this later date to see if it was better documented which it appears to be now.

That said, I have checked the links you sent and had a little more searching, it does appear that component sources are only documented to be a part of the advanced manufacturing and so it should not be coming up.  Also, I note that when it does show up it seems to be part of another problem where rebuilding every configuration commences upon switching to the manufacturing tab and all sorts of mixups between models, setups and configs occur.

Sadly fusion supports only advice back then was to start the file again from scratch, which of course wastes days of time and doesn't stop the issue coming up again a week later.

Hmm that doesn't sound good

There is a checkbox here:

Maybe check if that is enabled?
