hey guys, i need to do some undercutting on a bunch of parts, which toolpath is the best suited for this? you can see the (opaque) contour on the left side, and the toolpath just goes straight down instead of following the surface. this one is scallop. is fusion capable of undercutting toolpaths?

Yes. I've used 3D Contour with good success

Can you share your file, either here or privately? I'd be happy to take a stab at it

File > Export > Save to local folder. Return to thread and attach the .f3d file in your reply

Privately, you can PM me the a360 link

PM sent back to you. I'll copy here MOST of the text:

Couple of things:

1) Some of your issue was in your tool definition. If you are in fact using a lollipop tool, then the definition needs to be accurate. Your shaft diameter needs to be whatever the neck diameter of your tool is. I took a guess and defined it as .30" diameter. YMMV

2) I have things set very loose and coarse. Generation time is quite long and I'm an impatient sort. Once I find a path that works well, I'll crank it down to where I'll actually be cutting (tolerance and step over)
