Unable to make simple boundary selection

Ok so here's an identical boundary selection to the other I'm trying to make that I was able to make for reference:
To be clear, these are the edges I'd like to select:
Just 4 edges. But in the video below you'll see that for some reason on separate identical geometry I am unable to make the selection. I can select 3 edges I want but when it comes to the 4th Fusion won't allow me to select it:
NOW a workaround would be to start the selection by holding down the "option" key on mac to select only a single edge, then gradually select enough geometry to make it easier on Fusion to auto select what I want. This is how I usually start out my selections as Fusion can't help but trip over itself auto selecting edges and not auto correcting after the user tries to manually correct.
If Fusion is going to "intelligently" auto select edges for me I don't think one should have to hunt down the one edge Fusion decided to select especially because often that edge is only a few thou in length and basically impossible to see without scrolling in/out enough to wear down the bearing in one's mousewheel.
