UI bug?

Why is the Clearance and retract height funny items shown below?  Edits are happening below as well, this is weird.

Those items are mini-toolbar to help do the quick edit to the active height plane. However, it appears that the position is not good in this case. CAM-5110 is logged to track this issue.

You can grab that floating dialog and move it any location that is convenient for you. You'll notice if you select the Retract from the full dialog page, the floating dialog will change to Retract. The same happens when you select any of the colored rectangles over your part. Whichever one you select, will affect the floating dialog.

I hope that helps to answer your question.

Any way we can turn these off yet?

@Anonymous

So this is by design?  This violates proper user entry.  When I click in a box, I fully expect to write in the box I clicked on, not a box at the bottom of the screen.

You can enter it in either, it will populate the other field.

It puts it local to the graphics area where you're working. If you click on the colored rectangles (representing Clearance, Retract, etc..) its easier and faster than going back to the dialog box.

Apparently Quick Reply truncates the usernames with a period in them.

So is there a way to turn off those flying boxes yet?

Not that I'm aware of.

Can we turn off those boxes/bug yet?  I really can't stand them, and there is no obvious reason when and where they show up, and how to close them.

Message 11 of 12

Again, I can't move these boxes, they are not pro gui compliant, fix please..

You should be able to move them, but I agree finding the edge by which to do so is infuriatingly tedious.
