Hey guys, not too sure whats wrong here i think its something to do with my internal groove tool setup in the library, but I can't be too sure.

ive attached my F3d file along with screenshots of the tool in the digital catalogue. also screenshot the error i get in f360. for some reason the tool is very thin, at least the insert. i have messed with some of the parameters for the insert but it doesnt change thickness like i expect it would.

Looks like there are two issues.

1. Set the shank width to 0.354in under the holder tab in tool library.  (I haven't checked other parameters but that looks the one that is most off)

2. Set the Inner, retract and clearance radii to suitable values. At the moment they are 0 and I think that is throwing an error.

Hate to say this, but this is one of those jobs where Fusion's shortcoming in lathe work really comes to light, tool creation.

ill probably just program this one on the machine. can't take this long messing with the program.
Hoping F360 gets passed these things..

@CuttingEdgeManufacturing I changed inner radius to model ID and it worked.

This does show some of Fusion's shortcomings with lathe work. Especially tool creation.

@CuttingEdgeManufacturing  I should have shared a file earlier too I had a look quickly just before I was leaving work. I've attached the file with a working toolpath. I haven't looked at it too closely. I changed the holder shank width and I had to mess around with the radii. File is attached.

Thanks for the update.

As we all know, lathe ID work is the most difficult to program. None of us wants to trash a carbide boring bar inside a part, hence why tool creation is critical in my opinion for simulating the program and making sure we don't have issues.

I have been using F360 for a few years now, every now and then i get bold and try to tackle the turning portion. Always goes OK at best , and then I'm back to being worried about it everytime haha. thanks everyone ill review the suggested solutions!
