Tools missing from CAM file after crash

I seem to have lost my tools that I created in my CAM file after Fusion 360 crashed. They do not appear in any previous saved versions of the file. Additional setups will not generate with the library as well.

Past CAM files in my archive still contain their tools.

Are they still visible in the Browser (what you see on the left side of Fusion when programming) but just not showing up in the Library Document list?

Hi Seth,

@seth.madore

Thank you for the follow-up. The only place the tools can be found right now is within each Operation(toolpath). I can open and edit the tool from the operation, but nothing can be found in the Library Document list. A new set-up does not generate anything either - not under document list or local library.

None of the previously saved versions have the tools either.

I'm about 20 sequences deep into the first setup and 3 more setups to go, the part is already somewhat processed on the machine...I could really use a solution on this one.

There is a known bug (that we've fixed internally, will be out in the next update) that seeks to address this. It's my understanding that this effects only .f3z files (files that have components or machine configurations in them). Could you share that file with me and I'll try to get it fixed for you to use?

You can either attach it here or email it to me:

@seth.madore

Thanks Seth, I will email it over this evening. I can't share it publicly.

Hmm. I got the file, but it's complaining about a bunch of stuff.

Could I get you to email me the A360 link to the file instead?

Right click on the file in the Data Panel and select "Share Link". Copy that link and email it to me.

(oh, and sorry for the delay, your email actually went to my Junk folder)

Well that's nice. I didn't want to ping you everyday seeing if you looked at it. I understand my emergency is not anyone's priority. I'll be sending over the link in the next 15 minutes.
