Really? Move the mouse over a touch (as you do in your video) and carry on. This is likely related to the multiple posts of cursor accuracy that's effecting Mac computers.

Any reason why Fusion is highlighting the play button upon clicking on it if it's a cursor accuracy issue?

Oh wow reported this minor bug over a year ago after it was bugged for at least half a decade. I'm still just clicking buttons that don't do anything. The icons change notifying the user the button was clicked. Just doesn't do anything.
