Tool path not showing in simulation

The attached files are showing our problems with simulation not showing the machined tool path.

Tangential Extension distance was set at .25 to move past radius into center cut out, reset to 0.0 and problem solved.

But it didn't show the move in the simulation.

The Simulation showed a clean straight toolpath with an tang. ext. pass the part. Once it was loaded into the CNC the toolpath made a 360 Spiral into the part. Once we took the ext. out the 360 toolpath did not show up in the CNC. Fusion did not show this in the simulator but it still crashed in the part on the CNC.

Ok thanks. Can you share your part including the toolpathes you made rather than the stp-file of this part?

Otherwise it is hard to reproduce this.

Although I cannot fully reproduce this here, you might want to change that setting into your post processor:

 

minimumChordLength = spatial(0.01, MM);

to look like this:

 

minimumChordLength = spatial(0.25, MM);

In your nc program there was an arc with no XYZ movement, so the machine decided to machine a full circle at that position.

With the setting suggested above you will not get into that situation anymore.

 

Please let me know if that solves the problem.

It didn't work in the post processor...but it corrected the problem in the

post process properties area.

No, you should change that code into your post processor. The values you see on the properties page are given in MM always.

We changed the attached post processor to .025 as you said and it did nothing.
