Tool path generation for flat face with angled stock cutting mostly air

Hello,

I am not able to find a solution for the problem I'm facing. I have a milling op2 where the bottom is angled, but I will have it in a jig to align the bottom back to level with the machine. When I generate a 2d pocket, 3d adaptive, or 2d adaptive the tool path is over 50% cutting air.

Any help would be appreciated.

See attached screenshot and file.

With 2d paths, there is nothing you can do I think, as it is not model aware.

With your 3d adaptive though, if you turn on "rest machining" under the geometry tab, using "from setup stock" if it is the 1st operation, or "from previous operations" if it is not, will remove the air cutting.  Most 3d paths would do that with rest machining on.

Thanks. The rest machining with the 3d adaptive fixed it.
