Tool libraries empty when DRILLING

HI All,

I am having a frustrating problem with tool libraries in fusion360 electronics--> manufacturing.

This may be a repeat of :

https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/fusion-360-manufacture/cloud-tool-library-gone/m-p/9504708

But these is not a clear solution posted there.

When working with a circuit board in manufacturing mode I can goto MANAGE --> TOOL LIBRARIES and see all my cloud tools.  ( I can also see the file at myhub online).

When I try to set up a DRILL operation I select  DRILL  --> select tool --> manager opens, but I get empty libraries with filing cabinet icon on all folders accept fusion default.  So I cannot select any tools.

This is the case on a new design AND an old design that I have previously drilled with this computer/library/setup.  When I open the old files (with a previous drill pattern) --> goto tool select -- I cannot see any tools.

When I try to set up a 2d contour operation  --> select tool --> manager opens, tools are all present.  Same for old and new.

Why can I not select a tool for drilling -- but I can select tools for milling ?

Fusion does not indicate any errors in my setup that might prevent me from creating a drilling op.  I have drills that match the design size.

I tried downloading from cloud and uploading to local -- but that just comes up empty too.

I really hope there is a fix for this.   All suggestions welcome.

Hi @hex705

When you open the tool library to select a tool for an operation, it automatically applies a filter on the tool category. For drilling operations, only drills are shown. My guess would be that you haven't got any drills in your libraries which is why they are showing as empty. You can clear the filter by selecting the clear filter button as shown in the attached screenshot, or by selecting a different tool category from the filters pane on the right hand side of the tool library.

Hope that helps,

Matt

Hi Matt,

That solved it -- thanks didn't realize filters were automatically added / needing to be cleared.

Thanks for speedy reply.
