Tool change positioning

Hi, I'm new to CAM having just picked up a Chinese router (omio x6-2200 ran on Mach3) to learn to cut my teeth on, making the progression from 3d printing. I'm sure this is a question that has been asked many times before and I've tried searching the forum and google but can't find any answers I can make head nor tail of.

I've set up two test pieces which both require moving from a 6mm end mill to a 3mm end mill in order to cut out some areas too small for the 6mm. I realise that Fusion automatically stops the program when the next process requires a different tool but it also seems to have set its own random positioning. What I'm finding is that the Y and Z are carrying on as they should but X axis is beginning the next cycle in a completely different position, so I'm getting the next cycle cutting approx. 45mm offset to the side from where it should be.

Ideally, what I'd like as a simple solution for now, would be for the machine to move back to X0Y0 (on the work piece - not machine home) so I can change the cutter and zero the Z for the new tool to the very same point on the stock. Then when I start the next cycle the machine will definitely be able to locate the correct starting point. There must be a way to do this but I can't for the life of me figure out how.

This may or may not be considered bad practice but it's a simple system that makes sense to me whilst I get to grips with everything.

Are you cutting 2 separate parts at the same time, and if so, how are you setting them up in Fusion? This could be caused by an action on your part, as you "learn the ropes" so to speak. Would you be able to share your file so we could take a look at it? To share:

File > Export > Save to local folder. Return to this thread and attach the .f3d in your next reply

Just one part. This one is my works logo, cutting it from a sheet of plywood. I'm aware not all of it can be cut with this set up but it was a CAD file I already had drawn up, using it just to try the machine with and these are the only size tools I have available to me at the minute.

I'm almost certain there's an error on my part somewhere, but regardless is there a way to set tool change position to part zero? This way I can set my Z height for each cutter to the same point on the stock so they are all cutting to the same depth.

Thanks for taking a look.
