I can't seem to get this part to CAM up at all. It is struggling with this simple shape.

Any ideas how to make this?

I have an IPT since I am working on it in Inventor at the moment.

I was going to drill down the center to depth and then use my small boring bar to face it. It wont seem to let me drill without a hole in the center? Or if there is a better way to do it I can do it that way?

Inventor is 3 years behind Fusion in CAM, specially for lathes, so this would very possibly work in Fusion but not in Inventor (I know, I use Inventor mainly as well, but you can't really post an Inventor question here for CAM anymore, the distance between the 2 softwares has grown a lot in the past 3 years).  I recommend you post this in the Inventor CAM forum, and hope for the best...

That is cool you guys can CAM it up in fusion if you can get it to work in fusion. I use both of them and always switch back and forth.

Ah so if you go back and forth between the 2, did you try this part in Fusion?  Just cause you said you were using Inventor, I thought it meant that you were programming this part in Inventor.  If you didn't try in Fusion maybe give it a shot.

No I did not because turning in fusion and inventor is the same. I have yet to find any differences in turning since turning in fusion is so far behind the mill stuff.

I think you are wrong...  Inventor CAM has no updates for 3 years, the turning in Fusion is much, much further ahead than Inventor.  The only CAM updates that Inventor got in the past 3 years are to keep up with the Inventor version, but no improvements are in it, for 3 years.
