SLM Technologi missing

Hey guys, I'm start to study some additive methods and in my Fusion 360 I can't find SLM Techologies.

I have Additive Build and Machining extensions:

Can anyone give a help on that?

Thanks

That's a good question, let me see if I can find the right contact to speak to that.

Do you have a printer you plan on using?

I don't have a printer yet, I'm just studding all the technologies and options.

Hi @leonardo.k ,

Ah ok, so you've found the Additive Build Extension, great! You've not done anything wrong, and are actually in the right place. We recently renamed our "SLM" type machines & print settings to "MPBF" (Metal Powder Bed Fusion). This is because MPBF is a more general term for these Metal Powderbed processes, for which we treat the same in Fusion 360.

Please see the attached image for how SLM, DMLS, and EBM fall into the MPBF category.

Does this make sense?

Nice, thanks.

I thinked that's weird because I can use all of the options and I can do all of my simulations and tests, just missing the SLM text.

For now on, lets use MPBF instead SLM.
