Hi

i have a plate for dust shoe i need to mill, i tried a few of the 3d option but i cant get to where it will make a toolpath the follows the surface

any pointers in what operation that can do the trick? the slot and 3 holes i used ramp and pocket

flow was the only one where i could pick the surface but did not work

i tried them all but i think it failed becaused i had the wrong mill bit in place

i used the flat end mill and i think you use a ball nose one

will check and report back

i compared and eyeballed and the only difference i can see is that you use and ball mill which make sense

am i correct?

I missed Contour, .... apologies ....🙄, and the key to solution is in the setup, I selected specific body and I prefer to define Z and X axis orientation, always works, in most cases X is longer than Y on parts done on mill.

When doing slopes, only ball or bull nose end mills are correct type, flat end mill leaves stairs no matter how small the step over.
