Siemens 'c' axis issues

Hi All, I'm looking for advice again!

I'm running a simulteaneous 4 axis pocket job using the C axis on a SMEC lathe with Siemens 828. The part runs perfectly on the simulation. The code is running fine until the value for 'C' changes from 1.154 degrees to 359.987 degrees. The machine will go the longway round instead of the shortest route. At this point the cutter is still engaged in the part!!

Is there any way that angles can be outputted incrementally or does anyone know if there is a parameter in Siemens to make sure the spindle goes the shortest route?

N1135 Z-93.665 C=2.746
N1136 Z-94.701 C=1.154
N1137 Z-95.804 C=359.987
N1138 Z-96.922 C=359.091

Any help is greatly appreciated!

HI @chris

Thanks for raising your concern via Forum.

Have you tried Direct Coordinate system? In this method rotary axis approaches the programmed position directly on the shortest path.

Codes will be like this:
N31 G1 X-22.424 Y-17.591 Z-65.986 C=DC(308.113)
N32 G1 X-22.09 Y-18.008 Z-65.978 C=DC(309.187)
N33 G1 X-21.748 Y-18.42 Z-65.971 C=DC(310.264)
N34 G1 X-21.397 Y-18.826 Z-65.964 C=DC(311.343)

Replace 'C=' with 'C=DC' and try it on machine.
