Siemens 810D Lathe Post

Hi All

We have a lathe that runs Siemens Sinumerik 810D and Shopturn I've only ever programmed it with Shopturn but I'd like to look at using Fusion for some parts. However I couldn't work out what post to use. I saw a Siemens post but this seemed to be for a mill. Could any one point me in the direction of a suitable post for our lathe?

Thanks

Hi @mattdlr89

We do have a generic Siemens Turning post. You can give it a try

https://cam.autodesk.com/hsmposts?p=siemens_turning

Let me know how it goes

posts can be found here, https://cam.autodesk.com/hsmposts How does the lathe differ from the mill post? Are not the 810D controls used for both?

Good point. I never really considered how they differ. I was just thinking one is a lathe and one is a mill and they should have a post each. I guess that's not the case. If I load up the 810D post and program turning ops it will output a g code suitable for the lathe?
