Shaft Collides with Stock

I'm working on an injection mold. The walls have a taper of at least 2 degrees. I am using a 1/32 ball mill with a 0.025 DOC. It then has a tapered shaft of 1.5 degrees.

When simulating an adaptive clearing path with this setup, it often complains of collisions. They are shown in red here.

I don't believe these actually exist. The math says the bit shaft should be in the clear.

When you look at the tools paths, they seem consistent around the place of perceived collision:

To me this looks like a precision error. We are talking about tenths of a thousandth. Is there any way to increase the resolution of the simulation?

Thanks!

Tom

Not in the standard but if you change to the Fast (3-Axis only) there is a quality setting that may help.

Thanks. It says though that collision detection isn't supported in Fast mode.
