Running a tapping test on a Haas ST-10Y lathe, 309 Exceeded Max Feedrate error

Trying to run a rigid tap and I am getting an error and the lathe operation hangs? Error 309 Exceeded Max Feedrate.

You are trying to drive tap at feed rate of 16 inches per revolution.

Just a wild guess here, if you are doing 16 pitch thread, your feed rate should be F.0625.

 

G99 is feed rate per revolution

if pitch is 16 threads per inch then , 1 divided by 16 = .0625

I made a guess regarding 16 pitch thread, if that's not what you are doing adjust feed rate for actual thread pitch or you will break the tap.

Remember, it's 1 divided by pitch, you can have up to 5 decimal places feed rate in single point threading and taping.

Looks like your federate is IPM....a haas needs inches per rev.

I don't see G98 anywhere in above code, do you?

His code also has G20, inch mode, so F16. in tapping cycle means 16 inches per revolution.
