Rotating the part on a tooling hole position

So my company is moving away from Hypermill and into Fusion.

looking to figure out how to rotate the part on a tooling hole.

So far I figured I could create a sketch , rotate to the desired angle, then select the wcs according to the Z and X axis of the sketch.

Seems a long way to get to something that on hypermill is select the tooling hole center and rotate the model to the correct angle.

Not even touched on compound angles yet 😄

anyone know if there is a quicker way to achieve this. thanks

Sadly, what you've reasoned out is the only method of accomplishing what you're after. 🙁

We recognize that there's room for improvement, and it's certainly something that's been discussed. That said, there are no immediate plans to improve then area (that I'm aware of)

Ok hopefully something in the near future might be implemented.

Thanks for the response though,

I think even that is overly optimistic....

That is sad that your company is leaving Hypermill, one of the most powerful 5 axis programs out there. Is it because of maintenance costs?

Correct, I don't know to much but we have 3 seats paid for and I guess it comes down to the maintenance costs.
Personally I wouldn't have changed but its not my call.
