Rapid Collision with Stock

Hi, 

I looks like you are probably incorrectly using stock contour selections, but its hard to tell without seeing the file.

 

Can you upload here?

 

Go  to File>Export>save as

I've tried all kinds of variations, some with fly cutters, some with end mills, some with stock contours, some without. Keeps diving into the piece to start cut at random points. Here is the file.

Hey, so the problem was that rest machining was turned off.

Even if it is the first operation you still need the rest machining on and set to "From setup Stock"

I switched to the 1/2" endmill as the toolholder on the other tool was colliding with the part.

 

Also turned on both ways as for soft materials this should give a good time savings
