Problem Selecting Geometry

I have tried both 2D pocket and 2D adaptive but neither milling operation is giving me the results I want! What geometry to I need to select to get the pocket milled out and the one side brought down?

Thanks,

Adaptive or pocket arent going to give great results due to the tool being close to the same width as the slot.

You would be better to use 2d contour with multiple stepdowns leaving some stock to rough it out, then do some finishing passes full depth.

the step can be done by selecting the dedge and using negative radial stock to leave to make sure to tool overlaps the edge.

Take a look at the file attached.

not sure what your maximum RPM or what the exact material is so i haven't done too much with the feeds and speeds
