Problem Machining pockets

Hello,

lately, when i want to pocket a Stair stringer i run into a problem.

When i select the pockets for the steps and risers and create a toolpath, the tool keeps going back to the starting point after every pocket.

What can i change so that the toolpath will be more efficient?

Thanks in advance.

Kind regards,

Mike Vos

This is a known issue with some 2D Pocket selections. We have ticket CAM-39448 open to address this issue (still unresolved.

One workaround that is mostly valid is to select it as a closed contour:

It will give a toolpath like this:

We would need to have a follow-up 2D Contour/Pocket to get rid of this:

File is attached for your review!
