Post processor problem with AXYZ machine

robotyachts

Hi all, I have been having an issue when machining an arc the post processor is adding small 5mm radius along the arc length in random places.  I can see it in the code but would appreciate if someone could tell me how to remove it from the post processor. I'm pretty sure  that the r5's in the below code are what is causing the problem.

Any help appreciated,

James

@robotyachts

With respect no one can tell just from the code whether the R5 moves should or should not be there.

Have you tried using the "Relative" (IJK) type arcs option instead of the "Radius" (R) type arcs and see if the random arcs still appear, some CNC controls don`t work well with the Radius arcs 🙂

Also, it is much, much better if you can upload a problem Fusion file by going to :-

File > Export > Select f3d format > Save to a location on your computer > Then attach the file to your reply, a copy of the PP being used would also be helpful in diagnosing your issue 🙂

Stay Safe

Rob

Hi @robotyachts ,

If you want to linearize arcs change allowedCircularPlanes to zero and you won't get anymore arc moves, linear moves

allowedCircularPlanes = 0;

From your description I am not really sure what the issue is you are running into. If you can supply more information I might be able to help more.

Thanks,
Will
