Phantom extra tool operation pattern instances

joeX8245_0-1698778975339.png

As you can see here in my tooling simulation the CAM is trying to make pattern instances that don't exist - and even beyond the stock bounds in my Setup. Any suggestions? I've tried linear and duplicate patterns - both create 'anomalies'.

You have patterns inside a pattern, which is why you're seeing that.

Note that there's no reason a pattern wouldn't go outside the stock bounds, a valid and common use case is to pattern the entire part across multiple fixtures.

thank you - the layout of these cuts changes for every job, so patterns are more flexible. I isolated the patterns within patterns and that worked - I just have more tool changes. C'est la vie.
