Output Folder in NC Program - Not saving

Just been cleaning up one of my programs. Went through to change the Output folder of where it posts. However when I go back into it it does not remember that I have changed it. Just reverts to what was there previously. Never had a problem before today's update.

This happens when I click both "Ok" and "Post" although when I click post it posts to the folder I have enter it just doesn't remember that for next time.

Is this fix also going to fix the issues with the "normal" post where its not remembers wich postprocessor I used 5 minutes ago?

Ah yes that's what I thought but confused me because you had replied to me.

I assume @rhdfmail means when you right click and toolpath and hit Post Process and get the old style NC window but I can't be sure...

When using the "old" post dialog fusion seems to have a really hard time to remember wich  post i was using last time I posted the same setup/toolpath Doesn't matter if it was 1 minute ago.

When i select the right one it does indeed remember all parameter-settings and postlocation that i made last time I used that post.

have avoided the NC-program post since it had (still have?) the nasty issue of not relay my machineconfig-settings to the post-engine. So homepos. wants to go to X0 Y0 M91 (on our Mikron HPM450 that point is somewhere ouside the enclosure..)

Thanks for that. Are you able to create a screencast or other video to show what you're seeing?

Thank you,

FYI, we've just posted a new update that should fix this.

Apologies for the inconvenience.

Bug fix release notes says:

The new output folder typed in the Compare and Edit dialog was reset to default inside NC Program dialog.

Am I missing something. There is no "Compare and Edit" option for NC Programs.

I read that and had no idea what it meant either? Assumed it was a mistake, the bug seems to be fixed :party_popper:

I hope it means that they are working on the feature and the work done for that is what caused the bug. I want to be able to change the output folder in several NC programs at once.  :slightly_smiling_face:

There must have been some connection with Compair and Edit because in addition to the folder bug Fusion had reverted back to built-in default Compensation Type of In Computer.  After yesterday's update that is also fixed for me.

I know this is an old thread, But After searching This seems the most relevant.
After using Fusion CAM for almost a year now. Just Recently I have been dealing with posting NC codes, that are not updated from what I have changed in the tool paths. If I overwrite a file, and even add a new tool, it continues to keep the old program, after saving and resaving.
@Anonymous Any updates on this would be appreciated.

This isn't because the same file is loaded in the machine is it? We save all our NC Programs to a network drive and the machine reads straight from it. I will never overwrite a file if it is loaded at the machine control to avoid things like this and other oddities I've seen at the machine control.

Matt,
Its doing this weather I save it directly to the User Data folder on the machine, or on to a thumb-drive and then take it to the machine.

@DaveTTMA3

I have been saving lots and lots of NC Program and their edits and the behavior is as expected (as long as you don't have to deal on Windows with edits done on Mac, and the other way around). Maybe you should shows us a video with your workflow so that we understand it and maybe spot the breaking point.

To be clear, are you seeing the NC Program's output path not being saved (nothing to do with a file's contents or tools being added) or is it that the path is correct in the NC Program but you don't see the changes in the generated NC file?
