Hello,

 

I am trying to perform a 2D pocket operation. I am having troubles because the tool is always being offset by an unknown quantity from the contour line. I don't know where this delta comes from even if all the offsets are set to 0.

Can you export your file as a .F3D file and attach it here? It's difficult to see what's going on without it unfortunately.

Yes, the design file will be more helpful to figure out the issue. But looks from the pictures you are choosing the face as Geometry input. Have you tried to select the outer edge loop of the center island instead to see if there is any difference?

You have Stock to Leave set at .02", so the toolpath will be set .02" from the selected contour:
