Offset curve not respected in CAM

First off, pretty new to F360, but I know my way around cg software in general.
I've been trying to do some v-Carving\engraving, and have done some successful cuts. But I've hit this problem and it's driving me bonkers:
I import an SVG to use in my v-carving, and when i import it, it comes in as a dark green outline, solid blue infill. F360 likes it. Cuts it.
But I'd like to offset that curve, to do another cut around it at a fixed distance: I select the curve, use the Sketch-> Offset tool: Offset as needed, and accept.
The new, offset curve is a light green and has a bunch of control points all around it. The original curve looks quite different. F360 doesn't highlight the inside like normal when I mouse over it, like the other curve. Nor does the space between them hilight, like it would had I done this operation on say, a circle.
Back in CAM, the new curve isn't respected: I can't pick it for any of my tooling operations.
I've attached the file showing this. What am I doing wrong? This seems like such a simple operation, I'm not grasping why it's suddenly a roadblock.
Thanks
